Chamazi Secondary School

 Chamazi Secondary School is a community school located in Msufini Village, Mbagala Division, Chamazi Ward, Temeke District - Dar Es salaam Region. The School began on 28th April, 2006 by Mrs. Kilamia who acted at the temporary Head Mistress of Chamazi Secondary School. At that time it was designed to be boys and girls day school (Coeducation School). It started with 160 students. The School has been successful in the (CSEE) examination every year. It has a wide variety of subjects with professional permanent and part time teachers. From 11th August, 2006 to date the school has been under Mr. Alfred Malya been assisted by several teachers as staff team. Since 2006, Chamazi Secondary School grew in terms of student intake, academic units and academic programmes. The school Motto is struggle for success. The school vision is best education for sustainable development. The school mission is efficiency for maximum productivity. Its registration number is S.2386. Daily routine start from Monday up to Saturday with normal activities such as cleanliness, national anthem song, school song, morning speech, classes, sports and games, clubs, Tazama Raman song, Tanzania Tanzania nakupenda song, weekly tests and remedial classes. 

 SCHOOL ECOLOGY

 The school has a good number of qualified teachers, physical infrastructures including classrooms, offices, playing grounds, administration block, toilets, library, school laboratory, shop and café, assembly walkways, water tanks, equipment and hot culture including flowers, trees, grasses and well documented students and teachers lists. The school erect sign boards to show directions to various facilities such as the Administration Offices, staff offices, classrooms, toilets, staff houses and garden. The bare areas of the school ground is planted with grasses to minimize the effects of dust and wind erosion. The school maintain a safe, secure and caring environment that fasters the teaching and learning processes. This manual therefore sets out the standards and guidelines that a school should put in place to enhance students safety. At least when you look at this school you can see a favorable environment for studying and strong focus on teaching and learning processes reflected by better academic performance and the responsible learners behaviors.

Educational Aims of Chamazi Secondary School

The Aims of the School:

1. To provide a place of education within which each pupil will participate in a wide range of learning opportunities designed to develop the basic skills, knowledge and understanding required by modern society.
2. To ensure that each pupil has an awareness of the possibilities available to him/her within society and the responsibilities required by society.
3. To develop an atmosphere in which will flourish self-discipline, responsibility to, and awareness of, the needs of others in the school, community and society in general.
4. To maintain an ethos and offer a structure of courses and activities that will ensure that the achievement of every pupil is raised to a maximum; at the same time allowing for their different needs, abilities and skills to be developed to their fullest extent.
5. To show appropriate and proper concern for the demands and expectations of pupils, parents and of society in general, and to implement the best contemporary educational practice in partnership with the Local Authority.
6. To maintain effective communication with parents concerning the progress of individual pupils and school life in general.
7. To provide a secure and happy environment within which staff and pupils can work together to achieve their aims.

GAMES & SPORTS

There is greater importance of sports and games for the physical and mental well being of the students. Along with quality education, the physical development is also very essential for the students. The physical education aims at the physical, intellectual, spiritual and moral development of a student. It develops the team spirit, discipline and spirit of sportsmanship in them. Sports and Games are essential for the all round development of personality of the students. Students derive a lot of pleasure by playing games and learn the qualities of leadership.
The students are trained at their field of interest by a well qualified Physical Education Teacher on all working days and Saturdays. The Sports Committee of the School is used to conduct inter class competition every year and aims at inter school level.
